Mortality in plants refers to the death or loss of plant life. Just like any living organisms, plants have life cycles, and at certain stages or under specific conditions, they may experience mortality.
But, BE POSITIVE … Your plantation will be easy if you follow these steps :-
We all know monsoons bring abundant rainfall, but they can also pose challenges such as waterlogging and diseases.
1. So, when should you start plantation?
To give your new plantation the best chance of survival, it’s crucial to choose the right planting time. Aim to plant just before the monsoon season, allowing your plants to establish their root systems before the heavy rains arrive. Start today, as it enables them
to absorb the moisture effectively and develop strong foundations.
2. Which plants to choose?
a) When we consider vegetable /fruits plants — Tomatoes, Cucumber, Okra, Button mushroom, Carrot, Cauliflower,Raddhish, Beans, Beetroot, Spinash,

You can go with any plants you like, and it is important to note that choose a plant 3–4 years old and then Start your New Plantation.
3. Preparing the Soil
Healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving plantation. Ensure your soil has proper drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to
root rot and plant mortality. Enhance soil structure by incorporating organic matter such as Orgo Garden Compost, which improves drainage
and enhances nutrient retention.
If your plantation area is prone to waterlogging, create adequate drainage systems. Digging channels or trenches around the plantation will
divert excess water away, protecting your plants from potential damage.
4. Mulching for Protection
Mulching plays a crucial role in protecting your plants during the monsoon season. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of each
plant. This helps retain moisture, prevents erosion, regulates soil temperature, and acts as a protective barrier against heavy raindrops.
5. Shielding with Rain Covers and Shade Nets
For delicate plants or seedlings, additional protection may be necessary. Rain covers or shade nets shield your plants from the impact of
heavy rainfall, reducing the risk of damage and erosion.
6.Pruning and Staking
Proper plant maintenance is essential to minimize the risk of breakage during strong winds. Regularly prune weak or overgrown branches to
improve plant structure. For tall and slender plants, use stakes to provide support, preventing them from toppling over and sustaining damage.
7. Disease and Pest Monitoring
The monsoon season often brings an increase in fungal diseases and pest activity. Regularly inspect your plants for signs of infection. Be vigilant
and Use Orgo Fungi Go to control and manage diseases and pests promptly, reducing the risk of mortality.
8. Optimal Watering Practices
While the monsoons bring rainfall, it’s essential to strike a balance with watering. Monitor soil moisture levels and water only when necessary,
avoiding overwatering. Rainwater is often sufficient for most plants, and excessive moisture can lead to root rot and other water-related issues.
9. Maintaining Plant Hygiene
A clean plantation area promotes plant health and reduces the risk of diseases. Regularly remove fallen leaves and debris, preventing the accumulation
of fungal spores and pests. By maintaining good plant hygiene, you provide a healthy environment for your plants to thrive. Use Orgo Concentrate as an organic plant fertilizer which helps in White Root Development, Nutrient Uptake and Vegetative Growth.
